Local towns and villages including the market town of Penrith, the Borders City of Carlisle, Kendal, home of the famous mintcake, and Keswick - a Lakeland climbers’ paradise.

Brockhole Visitors Centre - Have a great day out overlooking Windermere, between Troutbeck Bridge and Ambleside.
Enjoy the famous adventure playground, lakeside setting exhibitions, fabulous gardens, information centre, gift shop and cafe, with good pushchair and wheelchair access. Free admission. Pay and display car park.

The Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway - enjoy a trip back in time with a ride on a steam train. A great way to enjoy scenic views of the Lakes.

Rheged visitors centre - Rheged visitors centre in Penrith is an international award-winning family day out including, Shops and Artists Galleries, Craft Workshop, Cumbria Information Centre, Children's Indoor Play Area, Restaurant and Cafes and an Imax cinema.  Special events all year round include mountaineering lectures, live music, craft fairs and movie meal evenings.  and an imax Cinema screen.

Eden Ostrich World - Eden Ostrich World is a farm visitor centre based bear Penrith. With a range of attractions from the African Black Ostrich, Rare Farm Animals, Our Zebroid (Zebra/Pony Cross), Adventure and pre-school Playgrounds, Giant Maze, Tractor Rides, and Indoor heated Soft Play Area.
