The Sweet Briar Restaurant & Takeaway - Our on park restaurant. Julie offers a fantastic menu at reasonable prices. Open various hours throughout the year, dependant on season, there is something for everyones taste. Whether it be a Sunday Roast with all the trimmings to a take-away meal. The restaurant has an excellent reputation and we recommend that everyone tries the restaurant on park before travelling further afield.

Fancy That - Opened in late 2007, Fancy That based at 48 Kings Street in Penrith, this new food establishment is one not too miss. Freshly made sandwiches on home-made wholemeal bread, with an excellent choice of fillings. The shop also offers salad boxes, made to your own requirements and bakes some of the most exciting and tasty cakes and treats. Soups are also available, to view their menu click here

A taste of Lakeland - A taste of Lakeland shop and tea room have a wide selection of Cumbrian and regional foods and drinks, including 'Great Taste Award' winning cheeses, preserves, sausages and beers. Many are from small producers, where quality rather than quantity counts. For those with special dietary requirements, they also stock diabetic, organic and gluten and nut free products.

The Royal Oak - The Royal Oak in Appleby serves food daily all day. They have an excellent reputation for their food. At the Royal Oak is a restaurant, accommodation and a Public Bar. The Three Greyhounds - A cosy village pub serving a wide range of good foods, traditional Sunday lunches and baguettes. Situated in the village of Great Asby only 4 miles from the park. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 12pm Tel: 017683 51428. 

A'Board Inn - A 17th Century inn offering a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere.  Situated in the beautiful tree lined streets of Appleby, just 100 yards from the castle.  Food and beverages are served at both lunchtime and in the evening.  Families welcome.  Tel: 017683 51319.
