Wild Rose Park is set in 40 acres of quiet countryside nestled in the Eden Valley with spectacular views of the Pennines. The parks surroundings have been carefully landscaped to enhance the surrounding natural beauty.
Local limestone has been used by craftsmen to make traditional stone walls, and planting of Birch, Alder, Rowan, Hazel and Wild Cherry ensure good habitats for the local wildlife and are fitting with the local environment.
The Park is surrounded by hedgerows which are alive with colour, Blackthorn in the spring, Wild Rose and Gelder Rose in the summer and Blackberries and Crab Apples in the autumn.
Great pride is taken in the surroundings at Wild Rose Park, you will see a host of flowers throughout spring and summer, Snow Drops, Daffodils and Tulips make regular appearances at Wild Rose and also the hanging baskets which are tended to continuously throughout the warmer months.
There are now five touring areas at Wild Rose Park:
Hazel Heights
Hard standing pitches on Hazel Heights have adjacent areas of grass and are individually hedged for privacy.
Fully serviced pitches and in an elevated position there are superb views across the Eden Valley.

Braithwaite Fold
Braithwaite Fold is a less formal touring area, hard gravel for your caravan or motorhome and awning with shared grass areas in between units. Shared electric and water points.

Chesters Challenge
For families with young children who like to be near the play areas hard standing pitches are also available near the centre of the park on Chesters Challenge.
The pitches around the play area 13 – 28 have shared electric hook ups and shared water points.
Pitches 1- 12 are fully serviced individually hedged pitches with hard standing for your unit and awning and an area of grass to the side used only for seasonal pitches.
Donkey’s Nest
Donkey’s Nest is shared between tents and tourers, with a special addition of 4 Wigwams.
These give those who perhaps do not have there own unit the chance to have a camping experience with a few of the home luxuries. Slightly sloping grass pitches with shared electric and water points. A very popular area in the summer months.
Egglestone Tiers
Egglestone Tiers can accommodate up to 30’ units (caravans and motorhomes) and also European models.
Hand built stone walls separate the different levels and fenced hedging separating individual pitches.
Each pitch has hard gravel for your touring caravan, awning and an area of grass to the side.
Fully serviced with electric hook up, 2 mains water hook up points, grey waste water point, lighting, terrestrial TV aerial hook up, and hook up for your digital box to give you those extra channels instantly. Amazing views of the Pennines can be seen from these pitches.
The super pitches
The super pitches are larger pitches offering the discerning family the greatest possible comfort and privacy, whether using a tourer or motor caravan.
Hedged and walled for privacy, the unit goes on hard standing and there is a gravel area for the awning with grass to the side.
Fully serviced with individual electric points, water and grey waste water points, plug for TV aerial, lighting, a storage hut to the rear and a patio area for a wooden picnic table.

Why not take a look at our monthly rates, offered throughout the year, or you may wish to leave your unit here based for a season, we offer two seasons, summer and winter where you pay a set price for the season and can stay as long as you wish in that season.
Wild Rose In Winter
Wild Rose Park is open all year round. Come winter touring, enjoy heated loos and showers, hard standings and the wonderful views of the Pennines under snow, while staying snug in your tourer. (Reduced facilities are available out of season)
